My name is Lena. I`m chemistry student from Kyiv, Ukraine.
Speaking about myself – I`ve always been a person who is good in exact subjects and is not related to art in any way. My mom always helped me with homework for art classes in school. Nevertheless, something has changed during my last year at school. I started to draw simple things to deal with my emotions. Сonsequently drawing has become a kind of meditation for me.
Drawing is my way to show that things are much more complicated that they seem to be. I don`t know the name of this style and other people who draw in the same way – it doesn`t matter to me. I just want other people to see something for himself in my drawings, to notice new details every time they look at my works, to associate lines and elements with different things and the most important – to find their meaning in what they see.
Every drawing is special for me. It takes really a lot of time to create something like this – days, weeks and even months. Each drawing is a reflection of all of the emotions I’ve felt, all of the life situations I`ve had, all of the music I`ve listened, all of the movies I`ve watched, all of the places I`ve been, all of the people I`ve communicated during the time I`ve been creating it. I consider my works speak about me louder and more eloquently about me than any words and even actions.
I’m so thrilled when people placed my drawings in their rooms to create their comfort, visual pleasure and inspiration. It`s the greatest happiness for me.
